Terms and Conditions for Carpetcleaning W5

Technician preparing carpet cleaning equipment before a service appointmentThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which carpetcleaning services are provided by Carpetcleaning W5 to customers in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, confirming an appointment, or allowing work to begin, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before arranging any carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain treatment, or related service.

1. Booking process
All bookings are subject to acceptance and availability. A booking may be made by telephone, email, online form, or any other method we make available from time to time. When you request a service, you must provide accurate information about the property, the areas to be cleaned, access arrangements, parking restrictions, pets, and any known stains, damage, or special requirements. This information helps us prepare properly for the appointment and ensure that the correct equipment, cleaning agents, and staff are assigned.

Once a request is received, we may provide an estimate, provisional price, or quotation based on the details supplied. A quotation is usually valid for a limited period and may be adjusted if the actual conditions differ from those described at the time of booking. Your booking is only confirmed when we accept it and, where required, receive any deposit or pre-authorisation requested at the time of confirmation.

Customer booking a carpet cleaning service and reviewing appointment details2. Scope of service
The exact scope of the carpet cleaning service will be agreed before the work starts. We may provide steam cleaning, hot water extraction, dry cleaning, spot treatment, deodorising, stain reduction, and related services depending on the condition and type of material. Not all fibres, dyes, backing materials, or floor coverings are suitable for every method. You accept that some marks, odours, or wear patterns may not be fully removable even when reasonable care is used.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any fragile, antique, luxury, wool, natural fibre, or specially treated items. If a surface is not suitable for standard cleaning, we may refuse treatment of that item or recommend an alternative method. Any advice we give is based on the information available at the time and is not a guarantee of a particular result. We will use reasonable skill and care in delivering the service, but outcomes may vary depending on previous use, age, condition, and prior cleaning history.

3. Access and preparation
You must ensure that safe and reasonable access is available at the agreed time. This includes arranging entry to the property, removing valuable or fragile items from the work area, and securing pets and children away from the cleaning zone. Where possible, furniture should be moved in advance, unless moving heavy items has been explicitly agreed as part of the service. We are not responsible for delays caused by blocked access, missing keys, unsafe conditions, or insufficient space to carry out the work safely.

4. Prices and payments
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. Charges may be based on room size, carpet area, number of items, level of soiling, type of fabric, treatment required, or time spent on site. Any additional work requested on the day may incur extra charges. We aim to make any such charges clear before proceeding, but if extra issues become apparent once work has begun, you authorise us to amend the price accordingly after informing you where reasonably possible.

Payment is due in full on completion of the service unless we have agreed another arrangement in writing. We may accept cash, bank transfer, card payment, or another method specified at the time of booking. Deposits, where requested, are non-refundable except where cancellation rights under these terms or applicable law require otherwise. If payment is not received when due, we may charge reasonable recovery costs and reserve the right to suspend further services until outstanding sums are settled.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. If you cancel with sufficient notice, we will normally not charge a cancellation fee. If cancellation occurs after a technician has been dispatched, on arrival, or after preparatory work has begun, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover travel, labour, and any materials used. Where a booking is rescheduled, we will try to accommodate a new date, but alternative slots are subject to availability.

We will use reasonable efforts to arrive within the agreed time window, but arrival times are estimates and may change because of traffic, weather, prior job overruns, or other matters outside our control. If our team is delayed, we will aim to inform you where practical. If access is not available when we arrive, or if the property is not ready for the work to begin, we may charge for waiting time or treat the appointment as a missed visit. In those circumstances, a new appointment may require additional payment.

7. Liability and limitations
We will carry out all carpet cleaning services with reasonable care and skill. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from information you fail to disclose, pre-existing defects, hidden faults, colour fastness issues, shrinkage, pile distortion, or deterioration caused by prior wear and tear. We are also not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of enjoyment.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law. Where we are found liable for damage to property, our responsibility will normally be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the affected item, taking account of age, condition, and depreciation. You must notify us of any concern as soon as reasonably possible after the service has been completed.

8. Complaints and rectification
If you believe there is an issue with the service, you should raise it promptly and provide us with a reasonable opportunity to inspect the matter. We may ask for photographs, product labels, or other relevant information. Where appropriate, we may return to the property to assess the issue or carry out a reasonable remedial treatment. Any remedy offered will be at our discretion and in line with your statutory rights.

9. Waste handling and environmental compliance
We handle wastewater, residues, used cloths, removed debris, and any other waste generated during carpet cleaning in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations. We will not knowingly dispose of contaminated wastewater, chemicals, or cleaning by-products in a manner that breaches environmental law. Where waste must be removed from the property, we will do so responsibly and may use authorised disposal routes where required.

You agree that any household items, packaging, or waste left behind for disposal are owned by you or that you have authority to instruct us regarding their removal. We are not responsible for the disposal of hazardous materials unless this has been expressly agreed in advance and we have the right equipment, training, and permissions to do so. If we identify asbestos, mould, bodily fluids, sharp objects, or other hazardous contamination, we may stop work immediately and recommend specialist handling.

Service terms document for carpet cleaning with legal clauses and responsibilities10. Customer warranties and responsibilities
You confirm that all information you provide is true, complete, and accurate to the best of your knowledge. You warrant that you have authority to arrange the service for the property concerned. You must tell us about any special cleaning instructions, manufacturer warnings, floor protection systems, underfloor heating, or recent repairs. Failure to provide such information may affect the result and may limit or exclude our liability for any resulting issue.

You are responsible for protecting items that could be affected by moisture, heat, cleaning solutions, or movement of furniture. This includes electronics, documents, ornaments, artwork, and personal valuables. Although we take reasonable care in the working area, we cannot accept responsibility for items that were not removed or protected by you where it was reasonable to do so.

11. Use of premises and safety
We may refuse to begin or continue work if the premises are unsafe, unsanitary, or otherwise unsuitable. Examples include exposed wiring, unstable flooring, aggressive animals, unsafe stairways, or conditions that present a health and safety risk. If we stop work for safety reasons, you may still be charged for time already spent and any reasonable costs incurred. Our staff must not be asked to undertake tasks that would place them at risk or require them to breach safety procedures.

12. Subcontracting and personnel
We may use employed staff, contractors, or subcontractors to perform all or part of the carpet cleaning service. Any such person will be selected with reasonable care and instructed to follow our operational standards. You must not directly engage or solicit our personnel to carry out private work outside the scope of these terms without our prior written consent.

13. Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where this results from events beyond our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, floods, fire, accidents, transport disruptions, industrial action, civil disorder, public health restrictions, power failure, or inability to obtain materials. If a force majeure event occurs, we may rearrange the booking, suspend the service, or cancel it without liability for any resulting delay.

Waste handling and compliance notes for carpet cleaning operations14. Changes to these terms
We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or service changes. The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law. Continued use of our carpet cleaning services after any updated terms are made available will be treated as acceptance of the revised version.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms, the booking, or the provision of carpetcleaning services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

16. General provisions
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. No failure or delay by us in exercising any right under these terms shall operate as a waiver of that right. These terms, together with the confirmed booking details, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service, and they supersede any prior discussions or representations unless expressly agreed in writing.

17. Acceptance of service
By booking or accepting a carpet cleaning appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. You also acknowledge that the service may involve moisture, cleaning agents, and mechanical equipment, and that normal variations in colour, pile appearance, and drying time can occur. Our aim is to provide a professional carpet cleaning service with care, transparency, and respect for your property.
